Rotary-Pratt Foundation

In 1998, the Trustees of the Estates of Beverley Mary Pratt and Mary Catherine Pratt initiated discussion with the Rotary Club of Deloraine to join the Trustees in the establishment of a meaningful facility which would be of on-going benefit to the elderly within our community.

In November 1998 Governor Sir Guy Green launched the Foundation and commended its establishment and noted its objective as being: The foundation is established and shall be maintained exclusively for the purpose of providing funds to be used for the benefit of the elderly people within the Deloraine area.

The Rotary-Pratt Foundation of Deloraine has provided significant contributions to:

  • Deloraine District Hospital

  • Deloraine Community Care Centre

  • The three arms of Aged Care Deloraine: Grenoch Home for the Aged, Kanangra and St Mark’s

  • Deloraine Senior Citizens Club

  • Deloraine Bowls Club

  • Deloraine Probus Club

  • Meander Valley Community Radio

  • Western Tiers Film Society

In 2018 the Foundation donated $52,000 towards the construction of a new Independent Living Unit at the Kanangra Hostel, and in 2020-21 donated $150,000 for the refurbishment of the entrance and nursing staff areas at Grenoch.
