THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE HAS SUPPORTED THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS:

DISASTER AID: Following the Super Typhoon which devastated the Philippines we provided $1,600 for equipment in the Philippines.

GIFT OF SIGHT EYE CAMP: We contributed $1,000 to the Gift of Sight Eye Camp in Nepal to provide cataract surgery for people living in remote areas of Nepal. This amount was matched by the District through a District Grant. We also held a very successful evening with Ambre Hammond (pianist) to raise money for a further donation to an eye camp to be held in 2015.

SHELTERBOX: A garden party with the three Divas was held at the home of Peter Talbot and Lois Beckwith to raise money for three tents to be used in Disasters around the world.

DAYS FOR GIRLS: Rotary Deloraine supports Days for Girls projects in Nepal. Days for Girls provides feminine hygiene products for girls and women throughout the world.

SCHOLARSHIPS IN NEPAL: We provided  scholarships for secondary and higher secondary students in the Makawanpur district in Nepal to provide education to young people who would otherwise not be able to afford education.

AUSTRALIAN ROTARY HEALTH SCHOLARSHIP FOR INDIGENOUS STUDENT: We are supporting an indigenous student to study midwifery. This scholarship is supported by  Australian Rotary Health.

UMOJA ORPHANAGE IN AFRICA: A "Pasta, Plonk and Poetry" night was held with the money raised being sent to the Umoja Orphanage in Africa.

DON COLLEGE VOLUNTEER VANUATU PROGRAM: We provided sponsorship to a team of students who visited Vanuatu to help construct 2 water tanks for Sara Village on the Island of Santo.

ROTARY FOUNDATION: The club donated $5,000 to the Rotary Foundation to support International projects around the world.
